Etiology: - Corynebacterium tenuis Epidemiology: - may be associated with contact with stray cats Pathology: - superficial bacterial colonization of the hair shafts in areas on skin containing sweat glands (axilla, groin) Clinical manifestations: - yellow, orange, black or red granular nodules, coatings, concretions that stick to the hair shaft - asymptomatic Management: - shave affected hair - antiperspirant deodorant
