Indications:
- experimental/unestablished procedure to alleviate autonomic symptoms of
- Parkinson's disease
- multiple sclerosis
Procedure:
- a catheter with a balloon is threaded into the venous system (especially the jugular vein)
- the balloon inflates to expand the vein walls
Complications:
- rupture & migration of the balloon
