thymic corpuscles (Hassall bodies, Hassall concentric corpuscles, Virchow-Hassall bodies, Hassall's corpuscles)

A small spherical bodies of keratinized, squamous epithelial cells arranged in a concentric pattern around clusters of degenerating lymphocytes, eosinophils & macrophages. -> found in the medulla of the lobules of the thymus
