1) beriberi

Clinical manifestations:
1) ophthalmoplegia [2]
- ocular bobbing on primary gaze
- no ocular bobbing on horizontal gaze [8]
2) foot drop [2]
3) paresthesia [2]
4) thiamine-responsive megaloblastic anemia syndrome*
* relative deficiency
Laboratory:
- laboratory excepting contributions from alcoholism generally normal
Radiology:
- see Wernicke's encephalopathy
Complications:
1) Korsakoff's syndrome
2) Wernicke's syndrome
