The final stage of mitosis or meiosis, beginning when migration of chromosomes to the poles of the cell has beed completed. - the chromosomes lengthen - the nuclear membranes of the daughter cells are formed - the plasma membranes of the daughter cells form & separate at the equatorial plate, completing the separation of the 2 cells
