tardive dystonia

Etiology: - dopaminergic receptor antagonists - metaclopramide, antipsychotic agents Clinical manifestations: - akathisia - tardive dyskinesia - may be focal, segmental, or generalized - commonly affects the face & neck - less commonly involves the arms & trunk - generally results in retrocollis when it involves the neck & trunk, arching backwards when it involves the trunk
