- SV40 virus causes tumors in hamsters.
- contains SV40 large T-antigen
Clinical manifestations:
- infection occurs > 12 months after renal transplantation &/or intensive immunosuppression
Laboratory:
- Papova virus SV 40 antibody in serum [2]
