superficial basal cell carcinoma
Epidemiology: 15-35% of basal cell carcinomas
Clinical manifestations:
1) lesions appear as erythematous, slightly scaly plaques resembling psoriasis, seborrheic keratosis, Bowen's disease or tinea corporis
- appears as a pink-red patch with or without scale [2]
2) generally multiple lesions on the trunk or extremities, often with no apparent relation to sun-exposure
Differential diagnosis:
1) psoriasis
2) nummular eczema
3) Bowen^s disease
4) extramammary Paget' disease
5) actinic keratosis
