One of the nerves supplying the viscera. There are 3 groups of splanchnic nerves: 1) cardiopulmonary (postsynaptic, sympathetic) 2) abdominopelvic (presynaptic, sympathetic) 3) pelvic (presynaptic, parasympathetic)
