Pathology:
- envenomation results in pustules & blisters
- anaphylaxis can occur
- IgE-mediated wheal & flare reactions in many patients
- development over hours
- pruritus, edema, induration, erythema
- presistence up to 72 hours ;

Management:
- epinephrine for anaphylaxis (see epinephrine or Ana-Kit)
- local reactions treated with antihistamines & cool compresses
- topical glucocorticoids may be useful
- oral prednisone in severe cases
