Etiology: Spirillum minus
Epidemiology:
1) rat bite
2) primarily occurs in Asia
3) rare in USA
Clinical manifestations:
1) eschar at site of rat bite
2) blotchy violaceous or red-brown central rash
3) regional adenopathy
4) recurrent fevers if untreated
