Saccharomyces cerevisiae IgG/AgA in serum

Indications: - Crohn's disease - ulcerative colitis Clinical significance: - 80% of patients with Crohn's disease are positive for either IgA or IgG against Saccharomyces cerevisiae antigens - in ulcerative colitis, < 15% of patients are reactive for IgG & less than 2% reactive for IgA - < 5% of healthy individuals are positive for with IgG or IgA against Saccharomyces cerevisiae antigens
