The path by which blood escapes from the right ventricle during myocardial contraction (systole). The interventricular septum in conjunction with the pulmonic valve are major determinants. The right ventricular outflow tract is obstructed in:
1) pulmonary hypertension
2) pulmonary valvular stenosis
