Etiology: - chronic lung disease leading to cor pulmonale - tricuspid stenosis - congenital heart disease - pulmonary hypertension Special laboratory: - Electrocardiographic (ECG) criteria: a) biphasic p wave in precordial leads b) p wave axis > 70 degrees c) tall, peaked p wave > 3 mm in ECG lead II, ECG lead III & ECG lead aVF d) small QRS voltage in ECG lead V1 e) p wave > 1.5 mm in ECG lead V2
