rhoG proto-oncogene protein, G25K, Gp protein or CDC42Hs

Function: - growth-related protein - p21rho-G has relatively high intrinsic GTPase activity - dbl-protein facilitates ras GAP activity of p21rhoG - required for the formation of membrane ruffles during macropinocytosis - required for the formation of cup-like structures during trans-endothelial migration of leukocytes. - interacts with SGEF Structure: belongs to the small GTPase superfamily, Rho family Compartment: - cell membrane; lipid-anchor; cytoplasmic side (putative) Pathology: - in case of Salmonella enteritidis infection, activated by SopB & SGEF, which induces cytoskeleton rearrangements & promotes bacterial entry
