Epidemiology:
- sometimes acquired by direct inoculation
Pathology:
- pulmonary infection
- skin infection & soft tissue infection
Laboratory:
- culture: growth in < 7 days
- antibiotic suscetibility testing
Management:
- combination antibiotic therapy dependent upon antibiotic suscetibility testing
