ranula

Etiology: - generally caused by local trauma Pathology: - mucocele found on the floor of the mouth - edema of connective tissue consisting of collected mucin from a ruptured salivary gland duct Management: - observation for small lesions - minor oral surgery may be required (usually removal of the sublingual gland)
