annexin A6 (ANXA6, lipocortin-6, chromobindin-20, p67 calelectrin, calphobindin-2)

Function: - may associate with CD21 - may regulate release of Ca+2 from intracellular stores - phosphorylated in response to growth factor stimulation - seems to bind one Ca+2 with high affinity Structure: - a pair of annexin repeats may form one binding site for Ca+2 & phospholipid - belongs to the annexin family - contains 8 annexin repeats Compartment: - cytoplasm (putative), melanosome - identified by mass spectrometry in melanosome fractions from stage 1 to stage 4 Expression: induced by EBV
