Epidemiology: - 50% of ICU survivors Clinical manifestations: - significant impairment activities of daily living - moderate to severe cognitive impairment - debilitating neuromyopathy/deconditioning - depression - post-traumatic stress disorder - may persist for months; up to 2 years Differential diagnosis: - dementia - delirium
