The polar bear is the largest carnivorous quadruped.
Polar bears are usually solitary but may congregate at good food sources or in ice-free conditions.
Range: circumpolar in northern hemisphere.
Habitat: sea ice and waters, islands and coasts.
Diet: predominantly seals.
