Indications:
- complicated urinary tract infections
- pyelonephritis due to Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, or Enterobacter cloacae
Contraindications:
- bloodstream infections (sepsis)*
* trial of plazomicin vs colistin bloodstream infections or nosocomial pneumonia caused by carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae stopped early because of slow recruitment, limiting conclusions [2]
Dosage:
- IV infusion QD
