Indications: - thrombocytopenia - immune thrombocytopenic purpura (not useful) [5] Clinical significance: - may be associated with heparin-administration & heparin-induced thrombocytopenia - may be other cause of thrombocytopenia - specificity high 93%, but sensitivity low 53% for ITP [6]
