pim-1 proto-oncogene

pim-1 may be constitutively transcribed & regulated by trans- criptional attenuation via premature transcriptional termination. Note: There is a pim1 gene in Saccharomyces pombe that is a homolog of RCC1. The product of the yeast gene is a serine/threonine kinase implicated in coupling S -> M phase transition in the cell cycle.
