Polycomb group multiprotein BCOR complex (PcG BCOR complex)
Function:
1) maintenance of transcriptionally repressive state of genes including BCL6, CDKN1A
2) targeted to DNA by BCL6
3) role in PKC signaling pathway (putative)
4) represses CDKN1A expression by binding to its promoter, (RARE element dependent)
5) promotes cell cycle progression
6) enhances cell proliferation
Structure:
- subunits: RYBP, RING1, RING2, PCGF1
Pathology:
- role in tumor cell growth by down-regulating CDKN1A (putative)
