ECG deflection resulting from depolarization of atria. Increased width: left atrial enlargement increased amplitude left atrial hypertrophy inverted p wave: AV junctional rhythm, ectopic atrial rhythm p wave notching: mitral valve disease peaked p wave: right atrial overload (P-pulmonale)
