Procedure:
- removal of a wedge of the tibia shifting weight from damaged knee cartilage [1[
Management:
- weight-bearing restrictions for 6 weeks to provide time for appropriate bone healing
- prophylaxis for venous thromboembolism with LMW heparin during hospitalization & for 6 weeks after discharge [1
