Occupational therapists perform evaluations in collaboration with a client & target information specific to desired outcomes. The two elements of the occupational therapy evaluation are: 1) the occupational profile a) activities of daily living b) professional activities c) social activities d) hobbies 2) the analysis of occupational performance Notes: - occupational therapists & physical therapists can predict which patients can have successful skilled nursing facility (SNF) to home discharges - medical providers & social workers can not [2,3,4] - occupational therapists with additional training & subspecialty certification in driver evaluation can can evaluate patient & vehicle & advise adjustments or adaptive equipment (mirrors) to compensate deficits [2] - see assessment of older drivers
