Dosage: - generally QHS dosing - also used in combination with regular insulin Pharmacokinetics: 1) onset 1-3 hours 2) peak 4-10 hours 3) duration 10-18 hours Notes: - hypoglycemia & glycemic control no better with detemir or glargine than with neutral protamine Hagedorn insulin [2]
