orphenadrine (Norflex)

Orphenadrine. Tradename: Norflex. Indications: - muscle spasm associated with acute painful musculoskeletal conditions Dosage: 1) 60 mg IV/IM BID 2) 100 mg PO BID Tabs: 100 mg. Injection: 30 mg/mL (2 mL) Adverse effects: 1) common (> 10%) - drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision B2) less common (1-10%) - flushing of the face, tachycardia, syncope, rash, nausea/vomiting, constipation, decreased urination, weakness, nystagmus, increased intraocular pressure, nasal congestion 3) uncommon (< 1%) - hallucinations, aplastic anemia Laboratory: 1) orphenadrine in serum/plasma 2) methods: GLC
