Indications:
- diarrhea caused by Cryptosporidium or Giardia*
- C difficile colitis [3]
- Fasciola hepatica [4]
* at least of effective as metronidazole (Flagyl) for Giardia
* NOT approved for patients with HIV#

Dosage:
1) 500 PO BID with food for 3 days (Cryptosporidium, Giardia)
2) 500 mg PO BID for 7-10 days (C difficile colitis)
Adverse effects:
1) diarrhea
2) nausea
3) abdominal pain
4) headache
