Pathology: 1) same as lentigo simplex 2) increased numbers of melanocytes Clinical manifestations: 1) light-brown pigmented macule 2) size: a few cm to > 15 cm 3) many dark brown macules or papules (2-3 mm) scattered througout pigmented background Complications: rarely malignant melanoma arises from nevus spilus
