neurogenic claudication; pseudoclaudication
Etiology:
- neural compression, usually lumbar spinal stenosis
- sciatica
Clinical manifestations:
- symptoms of leg pain (& occasionally weakness) on walking or standing, relieved by sitting or spinal flexion
- pseudoclaudication
a) symptoms elicited by walking or prolonged standing
b) symptoms relieved by flexing spine (i.e sitting)
Management:
- pregabalin is ineffective & associated with dizziness [3]
