cervical sprain

Etiology: - minor neck trauma, overuse or unaccustomed activity Clinical manifestations: - neck pain, worse with movement of head - aching sensation, generally isolated to neck but may radiate to shoulders or back or head - limited range of neck motion - tenderness of paraspinal neck muscles - no radiation of pain down arms - no arm weakness or paresthesias - no cervical spine tenderness - Spurling test may be positive
