Murphy inspiratory arrest sign
Etiology:
- frequently associated with acute cholecystitis
- gallbladder sludge in patient with hepatolenticular degeneration [3]
Clinical manifestations:
- pain on palpation of the right subcostal area during inspiration
- pain results from descent of the gall bladder during inspiration to the area of pressure exerted by the examiner
