Etiology: may be associated with underlying malignancy Clinical manifestations: 1) most patients have skin lesions & arthritis 2) skin a) red-brown papules & nodules b) most commonly on dorsal aspect of hands & on face 3) mucosa a) 50% of patients b) lips, buccal mucosa, tongue, gingiva, or nasal mucosa 4) joints - arthritis: a) severely destructive & mutilating b) interphalangeal joints of hand 1] 'opera glass hand' 2] 'telecsope fingers c) knees d) wrists e) hips f) ankles g) feet h) elbows i) spine 5) bones 6) viscera
