Function: 1) transport of triglyceride, cholesteryl ester, & phospholipid between phospholipid surfaces 2) secretion of plasma lipoproteins containing apolipoprotein B 3) heterodimer composed of MTTP & protein disulfide isomerase 4) positively regulated by cholesterol & negatively regulated by insulin Structure: - contains 1 vitellogenin domain Compartment: endoplasmic reticulum Expression: - expressed in liver, small intestine, ovary, testis, kidney Pathology: - defects in MTTP are associated with abetalipoproteinemia
