miR-33
Pathology:
- miR-33a & miR-33b inhibit production of HDL cholesterol
- antisense oligonucleotides injected subcutaneously into monkeys increases HDL cholesterol & decreases serum triglycerides; effects persist for at least 12 weeks [1]
Properties
GENERAL: short interfering double-stranded RNA; antisense oligonucleotide (siRNA, microRNA, miRNA)
FORM: miR-33
