minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass (MIDCAB)

A procedure performed through a small left anterior thoracotomy without cardiopulmonary bypass. Complications & recovery time are favorable compared with traditional CABG, as long as the bypass graft itself works. As with other surgical procedures, outcomes are better with experienced surgeons.
