Indications: - assessment of dementia Procedure: - combines clock test with recall of 3 items - clock test serves as a distractor for recall of the 3 items. Time required: 3 minutes Interpretation: - one point for each corrected recalled item = 3 points - up to 2 points for clock test - maximum score = 5 - score - 3-5 is a negative screen for dementia Notes: - alternative to proprietary MMSE & MoCA - 0.91 sensitivity & 0.86 specificity for dementia [4]
