Function: - transcriptional repressor of a number of genes including Sp1 target genes - interacts with HDAC1 Structure: - contains 1 ELM2 domain - contains 1 SANT domain Compartment: - isoforms 1,2,3: nucleus - isoforms 4,5,6: cytoplasm Expression: - ubiquitously expressed, but at very low levels - consistent level of expression are observed in heart, testis, thyroid, ovary & adrenal gland Pathology: - transcripts are up-regulated in breast carcinoma cell lines breast cancer
