Indications: - knee injury (meniscal tear) Procedure: - surgical removal of a meniscus from the knee joint Complications: - 50% incidence of osteoarthritis of the knee after 15 years [2,4] - cartilage damage more advanced after meniscectomy than after physical therapy alone [5]
