Indications:
1) chronic otitis media resulting in mastoiditis
2) cholesteoma
Procedure:
- surgical resection of the mastoid process & mastoid air cells
- one of several surgical procedures on the mastoid process of the temporal bone & middle ear
- may be performed in conjunction with tympanoplasty (see tympanoplasty with mastoidectomy)

tympanoplasty with mastoidectomy

ENT surgery; otorhinolaryngologic surgery; ear, nose & throat surgery
surgical resection (excision)
