lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma/immunocytoma

Immunophenotype: - surface & cytoplasmic Ig, usually IgM + - B-cell antigens (CD19, CD20, CD22, CD79a) + - CD5 - - CD10 - - CD43 +/- Genetics: Ig heavy & light chain genes rearranged. Clinical manifestations: - majority have Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia - hyperviscosity 10-30% - neuropathies (paraprotein) - cryoglobulinemia - coagulopathy Laboratory: - IgM paraprotein reactivity to myelin sheath antigens such as MAG or gangliosides ~10%
