Function: - knee extension [1] - sensory anterior leg, medial foot Physical examination: - walking on heels test motor function at L4-L5 - deep tendon reflex at the knees tests L3 & L4 - ability to squat & rise tests L4 - light touch in the medial foot tests sensory function at L4 Innervation: - anterior tibialis Pathology: - referred pain: [2] - anterior shin
