lordosis (hollow/sway/saddle back)

An abnormal extension deformity where the 'vertebral column curves more anteriorly'. - characterized by an anterior rotation of the pelvis (the upper sacrum tilts anteroinferiorly) at the hip joints Cervical lordosis: - the normal anteriorly convex curvature of the cervical segment Lumbar lordosis: - the normal anteriorly convex curvature of the lumbar segment [Greek, lordosis = bending backward]
