Procedure: LIBRA index includes - modifiable dementia risk factors - physical inactivity - smoking - obesity - depression - diabetes mellitus type 2 - chronic hypertension - hypercholesterolemia - chronic heart disease - chronic kidney disease - protective factors - Mediterranean diet adherence - low to moderate alcohol use - a 30 minute neuropsychological battery to measure cognitive performance, - memory - information processing - executive function - attention Clinical significance: - higher LIBRA scores correlate with higher dementia risk Radiology: - brain MRI outcomes include - decreased gray matter volume* - white matter volume - increased CSF volume* - white matter hyperintensities* * associated with higher LIBRA scores Notes: - men had higher LIBRA scores than women
