left lobe of liver

Left liver includes the caudate lobe & most of the quadrate lobe. The left lobe is separated from these two lobes on the visceral surface by the fissure for the: - round ligament of liver - ligamentum venosum & on the diaphragmatic surface by the attachment of the: - falciform ligament The left lobe has its own blood supply from the hepatic artery & portal vein & has its own venous & biliary drainage.
