Peter J Kerly, English radiologist *1900.
Etiology:
- they occur when he mean left atrial pressure exceeds 20 mm Hg & in metastatic cancer to the lung
Pathology:
- they represent distension of interlobular septa with & lymphatics with edema
Radiology:
- chest X-ray
- fine peripheral septal lines. Synonymous with costophrenic septal lines
- linear densities perpendicular to the pleura, especially in the lower & mid lung fields
