junctional melanocytic nevus
Acquired, benign lesion with little potential for malignant transformation.
Pathology: (histology)
-> nests of melanocytes at dermal-epidermal junction
Clinical manifestations:
1) pinpoint to a few mm macules (2-6 mm)
2) well circumscribed
3) uniform in color, typical brown-black
4) widely distributed especially in sun-exposed areas
Management:
-> observation for change
