jugular venous pressure
Normal range:
- 6-8 cm H2O (see jugular venous pulsation)
Procedure:
- assessed by measuring the vertical rise of the jugular venous pulsation above the sternal angle
- point of care ultrasound accurately predicts right atrial pressure obtained from cardiac catheterization [3]
